Happy Sunday! I can’t believe we are already in the middle of August. I feel like every year I get older, the shorter each season feels. As sad as I am to see summer ending, I absolutely can’t wait for fall! Something that I discovered while having a full time job is that I really don’t love summer work attire. Don’t get me wrong- I love wearing shorts and heading to the beach, but when it comes to what I wear to my business casual office, it can get a little tricky.
I don’t want to wear jeans and a short sleeve button up every day so this summer I got a little creative. I started experimenting with vintage t-shirts and patterned blazers and it has really become my summer go to style.
Someone who really inspired me with this style is Chelsea Handler. For years she has been rocking this look and always looks so good. It’s cool and creative while still being professional and stylish. I am also SUPER lucky that I come from a thrifting family and my brother has a vintage t shirt business. He always shows me what he finds first and I get my pick of the litter! Check out his instagram- @thesundacekId
I’ve also have been getting SO sick of skinny jeans so I have been trying out different denim styles. I cut the bottoms of these “slim straight” light wash FRAME jeans and I love how they turned out. I even tell all of my female clients who say they only wear dark skinny jeans that yes, we know that works, but lets try spicing it up with a different cut of denim! These jeans are the perfect addition to your wardrobe and will take you right into fall. And by pairing this trendy style with a classic loafer like these from Gucci, it balances the outfit out perfectly. 🙂
I put together a few outfits similar to this style and I can’t wait to share them with you over the next few months!
Ciao for now,
