Ello mate! After spending 4 days in London, I am back in NYC. Before I left, everyone kept telling me how much I was going to love it and they sure were not lying. Everything was amazing from the food and people to the fashion and architecture. We stayed in Camden for the first 2 nights and spent the second 2 in Shoreditch.
Some of my favorite highlights from the trip that I recommend are: visiting the original Soho House, taking a bus tour (go during the day and again at night for a completely different experience), having afternoon tea in the Library at County Hall and shopping at Old Spitafields Flea Market. 🙂
As I mentioned, the fashion in London was something that I was immediately drawn to. Everyone had their own unique style and really cared about their appearance. We can get in a rut when it comes to what we choose to put on our bodies every day and being in London really inspired me to dig a little deeper with my own personal style.
Something that I have been playing around with is monochromatic looks and wearing pops of color. When I was packing for London, I wanted to pick pieces that were a little more eccentric than the ones I wear everyday.
For this particular outfit, I kept everything neutral in hues of brown. I have always been drawn to brown as opposed to black so I wanted to play up my favorite color to wear. I started with these amazing brown pants that I bought thrifting, then I added this American Apparel turtleneck, The Kooples peacoat, Gucci loafers, and vintage Louis Vuitton weekender bag. I know at first wearing an ‘all one color’ outfit sounds a little weird but if you style it correctly, it can really work out well! 🙂
As much as I loved London, it feels great to be home. Something about moving back to New York after being away from it for 6 years has given me a new appreciation for it. Hope you all have a great week!
Ciao for now,
