Happy Wednesday peeps! I am writing to you live from a Greyhound bus where I was just visiting my boyfriend for a long weekend in Providence, RI.
As usual, we had a great time in chilly New England. One of our favorite things to do on our day off is take day trips to wineries or different towns. Rhode Island is super small and is so close to Newport, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, Nantucket and Boston!
We spent one day wine tasting at a cute family owned vineyard in Massachusetts and the other shopping on Newbury street in Boston. If you’re planning a trip to Boston and you love to shop, this is the street to do it. Some of my favorite stores included Rag and Bone, Ted Baker, Reiss ,and Muji.
As a wardrobe stylist, something I’ve been noticing is that people are looking to add more color and prints back to their wardrobe. I think in the last few years, the idea of having a ‘capsule wardrobe’ where all your clothes are neutral and everything matches each other is going out the window. People are bored with their basics and ready to add some fun pieces back into their lives!
I myself, am making this transition by slowly incorporating different muted colors into my outfits. For this one in particular- I chose to pair this mustard vintage sweater with brown pleated pants and my Gucci loafers. When starting out with colorful pieces, keep it simple to just one piece per outfit like I did here. I really love how the yellow compliments all the brown tones in this look. Also if you pair yellow with black you could risk looking like a bumble bee. Hope you have a great rest of your week! 🙂
Ciao for now,
