FLOWERBOY

Hi peeps!  With the cold days approaching I am squeezing in every chance I can to wear my shorts.  What I love about this pair in particular is the unique color without being overbearing or screaming SUMMER!  It is a color that I hope to transition into my fall wardrobe seamlessly.

As a huge lover of fall fashion, I sometimes jump the gun on whipping out my blazers and boots too soon. I have to remind myself to take a step back in September and enjoy the breezy 70 degree days.

This is the perfect look for grabbing a drink after work or enjoying the festivities on a friend’s or lets face it, a friend of a friend’s boat (lol.)

All you have to do is throw a knit sweater over it for those chilly nights like I did here. 🙂

I learned a huge secret to being a good guest this summer and that is to never show up to a party empty handed.  I know that this seems like common knowledge, but after seeing the look on the host’s face when they open the door to a gorgeous bouquet, you’ll never want to show up empty handed again.

I always thought bringing a bottle of wine (that most likely I end up drinking) was enough but stopping at the grocery store on the way and picking up fresh flowers is such a nice treat to the host and their home that they are kindly opening up to you.  Give it a try at your next get together and see for yourself!  🙂

If you really want to wow your friends and you’re in the Chicago area- I suggest checking out Flowers for Dreams!  I have received and given a bouquet from them and I am always so obsessed with how gorgeous their arrangements are.  Their mission is to be the alternative to overpriced flower delivery.  They go beyond outdated baby breath and roses and make flowers more inspiring and accessible.

I definitely suggest checking them out!

Ciao for now,

Dean
